Hello this is Nova. We are setting this gofundme up to help cover some medical and recovery expenses. He is 18 months old and is currently in the hospital for the 4th time in 8 weeks recovering from Giardia also know as Bever Fever. It is a very nasty parasite that lives in the intestines.

 

He had the infection for 2 1/2 months and multiple treatments before finally getting rid of it. It caused so much damage to his little body that he has been in and out of the hospital with many testing, an endoscopy and a colonoscopy with biopsies to try and find out why it is taking so long for his body to heal. He has had problems gaining weight, keeping fuilds down, and keeping his electrolytes stable.They have had to put him on a feeding tube because he stopped eating back in August. What little he would eat he would throw up or go through his system in 30 minutes.

 

The doctors are working very hard to find out what is going on now that the infection is gone in hopes he will make a full, healthy recovery, and back to his old self in the upcoming months. He has a very long battle ahead of him.

I am currently staying out of work to be with him in the hospital and we have fully pulled him from school as medically he can no longer be there.

 

He is a very lively boy with fire in his eyes. He is very strong in all this. We are hoping this won't last too much longer on him and that he will be fully himself when his little bother or little sister gets here.
