This is Nova. I found him in November of 2023. As a stray, I fed him every single day. He was skittish, but eventually he came around and started head butting and meowing at the door for dinner. I had planned on trapping and neutering, but the day I got a trap was the day he came to the door limping. His arm was severely swollen and he wasnt hungry. So, I decided it was time to scoop, isolate, and treat. I kept him in my bathroom and got him to the vet. Unfortunately he was a dick and had to be sedated for blood draws and treatment, but he was taken care of and we left the same day with pain meds and a plan. Nova wasnt going to go back outside. Not after the amount of money I put into his arm. So, Tim took him into his home.
A year and a half ago I brought him into my house with all 3 of my girls. Hes been living with us for awhile and on august 31st last year he started to click his teeth. I made an appointment to get him checked out, and I found out he has Feline Leukemia. For those who know me even a little, know I would kill for these cats. My cats are the reason im still on this plane of existence. The depression and anxiety dont hold a candle to the love I have for my cats. Moving forward I'll be at the vet as much as needed, and he'll be on a high calorie diet with lots of vitamins and care.
That all being said, I know in the upcoming months I am going to struggle financially. If you're willing to help my family and I while we traverse the pain of this virus, I will be eternally grateful. Ill also be making pottery with his paw print in it for those who want to support in that way. Ill add pictures of the pottery as soon as I can get them finished.

Update: after a many many blood tests, lots of meds and vitamins, Nova is in remission from leukemia. I posted an update about it. That was about a week or two ago. Today I took him to the vet because he has been pretty lethargic. The blood tests today showed high levels of lymphocytes. After arranging an ultrasound, we found his kidney and spleen to be enlarged. We're sending samples from each to a lab in Colorado to get a clear diagnosis, but it looks like he has Lymphoma.
Lymphoma is a cancer of the lulymphatic system, so think lymph nodes and stuff. Its not a good diagnosis, but we believe we caught it Extremely early. If possible, we will be following up with chemo if it is cancer.

I am terrified. Over this time together we have become even closer. He lays with me and sunbathes with his tummy up so I can rub it. He chirps at me when he wants snacks or when he thinks it might be dinner time. He leans his head into my hands when I clean the food off of his face. Even if you cant send money, just share this story for me please? Im not ready to give up yet.
Thanks for reading.
Tldr; my cat had leukemia, got to remission, and now has Lymphoma. I need help with chemo and labs.
