Novalee's Fund
Novalee was a preemie baby born at 27 weeks. No one thought she would make it out of the womb alive. She is now 1year and 10 months old but weighs only 13 lbs. Novalee suffers from Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5, Pulmonary Hypoplasia, Prenatal Bladder Obstruction, Acute Kidney Failure, Developmental delays and End Stage Renal Disease. She is on Peritoneal Dialysis 18 hours a day 7 days a week and requires the use of an oxygen tank. She has been hospitalized for months at a time throughout the duration of her fragile young life without any improvement in her condition.
Her current doctors are stumped, they seem to be losing hope quickly....but not us. This fund is our hope! All monies raised through this fund will help Novalee's parents with traveling costs , medical expenses and anything her current health insurance provider won't cover. The emotional, psychological and financial strain on Novalee's parents has been inconceivable. Novalee's mother ,Jayleen is a first time young mom with the desire to finish college at St. Pauls School of Nursing in Staten Island. Since learning that her Daughter's multiple conditions is a rare case, she has taken a leave of absence from her schooling in hopes of spending every waking moment in finding the right medical treatments for her baby. Her father Kevin has since dedicated his time in researching her disease along with any and all options that will give his daughter a chance to live the life that any dad would dream of for his little girl.
