Novak's Pilgrimage to St. Vasilije Monastery, Ostrog

Hi, my name is Daniela Anicic. I am a Lawyer in Australia who represents Institutional Abuse survivors. I am starting an urgent fundraising campaign for my dearest friend Petar Cujic and his 3 year old son, Novak. Novak has Leukemia. He received a transplant almost 12 months ago which placed him in remission. However, the Leukemia has come back. Modern medicine cannot help Novak anymore. Petar wants to take his son to Ostrog, a holy site and Monastery in Montenegro. Novak has only a few months to live.

My faith was lost until Petar called me. This shook me to the core, as it should anyone. Ostrog is well known for miracles. One of the most famous miracles happened in the year of 1913. when the baby fell from the top of the monastery and remained unharmed. God's gift to us is children. Novak is only 3 years old. I truly believe that although there is darkness in the world, it is our responsibility to shine light on what's truly precious and meaningful in life.
