Nova is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He is always running around wanting to meet new people and to see if someone has a treat for him. He is known in Frankfort for being the neighborhood dog at Luther Howe/Green Street park. A couple of days ago we noticed that he was not acting himself, not putting support on his leg and he was swollen so he was taken to the vet and the doctor said that there is a tear in his ACL. Due to the ACL not being able to stabilize the joint it is causing the tibia to slide forward. To be able to fix this and to prevent any future problems the doctor recommends TPLO surgery, which typically costs around $5,000. It has to be that specific surgery since he is such a big boy. We have called around to see if there were other options but they come back saying that because of his size they unfortunately can’t do the surgeries they offer. We are asking for your help to pay for his surgery. If anybody could help with a $1, that will get us $1 closer to getting him to feel better. Any proceeds left over after paying the vet bill will be donated to the next family that comes into the hospital and needs help paying for their vet bill.
