Hi, my name is Steve, and this is our little girl, Nova ❤️
Nova is only 8 months old, a playful, loving French Bulldog who has brought endless joy into our lives. From her little excited snorts to her wiggly tail and the way she curls up beside us every night, she reminds us that she is not just a pet — she is family. Her personality lights up our home, and her little quirks — like tilting her head when she’s curious or zooming around with her favorite toy — make every day brighter.
Over the past few months, Nova’s health has taken a turn, and it has been devastating to watch. She was first treated for urinary tract infections, but despite medications and vet visits, her discomfort never fully went away. She started pacing, whining softly, and looking at us with wide, confused eyes as if she didn’t understand why she felt unwell. Simple joys — playing with her toys, running in the garden, cuddling on the couch — became stressful for her. Watching her suffer and feeling powerless to help has been heartbreaking.
After further tests, blood work, and specialist consultations, we received devastating news: Nova has an ectopic uterus, a rare and serious condition that requires urgent surgery. She is incontinent, uncomfortable, and gets covered in urine on the back off her legs which can make her sore. She doesn’t understand what’s happening.
We took out pet insurance to protect her, believing it would help if something serious happened. Despite detailed letters and evidence from her specialist vet, the insurance company has refused to cover her treatment, claiming her symptoms are similar to a UTI. This decision has left us unable to afford the surgery on our own and has delayed the care she desperately needs. Watching Nova struggle while knowing that her treatment is being delayed due to finances is heartbreaking.
Nova is full of life, personality, and love. She enjoys cuddles, squeaky toys, exploring the garden, and curling up in the sunniest spots she can find. She deserves to run, play, and enjoy her puppyhood without pain.
That’s why we are humbly asking for help. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward giving Nova the surgery she urgently needs. Even sharing her story could make a huge difference.
We dream of the day Nova can run freely, cuddle without discomfort, and wag her little tail with pure happiness. That day is possible — but only with your support.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading Nova’s story, for caring, and for helping our little girl when she needs it most.
With love,
Nova’s humans ❤️
