Hey there, fam! You know that classic joke about vegans? Yeah, the one where they can't help but let you know they're vegans? Well, we've heard it a thousand times, and trust us, we're not here to shove our beliefs down your throats. We're all about filling your bellies with delicious food and embracing the complexities of life. We know that sometimes you're all about that health-conscious vibe, and other times you just need something that's hard AF to resist!
That's why we kicked off our mobile business back in 2019. Our mission has always been to bring you inspiring, healthy food options whether you're a vegan, vegetarian, or just a little curious. We're all about trying new things and being your plant-based eating guides on this flavorful journey.
Since we hit the streets with our food truck, one question has been on everyone's lips: "Where can we find you?" We've toyed with the idea of expanding our business multiple times, but let's face it, being a fully self-funded enterprise ain't no cakewalk. And when you throw in the mix that we're queer females of color, well, we've got ourselves a triple whammy of challenges.
So, we're launching this campaign to make our dream of opening Sometimeatarian: Plant-Based Kitchen a reality. We want to bring our scrumptious vegan and plant-based options to communities that may not have had the chance to experience them before. We know what it's like growing up without access to healthy or vegan food options, and we're committed to cultivating a space where families can gather, enjoy flavorful meals, and nourish their bodies.
Opening Sometimeatarian in underserved communities would have a ton of benefits. First and foremost, it would give the vegan folks in the area more access to mouthwatering, cruelty-free delights that they may have been missing out on. But it's not just about them! We want to show meat-eaters the wonders of plant-based cuisine and expand their culinary horizons. Plus, it'll create job opportunities and give a much-needed boost to the local economy. Oh, and let's not forget about the positive impact on the environment. We're all about reducing that carbon footprint, baby!
Living a happy, healthy, simple, and sustainable life is the key to our success. We believe in staying humble, listening to constructive criticism, radiating positivity, and keeping our minds wide open. We stay grounded, take time to celebrate our victories, and make adjustments when necessary.
But let's be real for a sec. Being an independent business owner is no walk in the park. And opening a new space? Whew, it comes with a boatload of costs. That's why we're turning to all of you for a little push in the right direction. With your support, we can keep moving forward and thrive like never before.
We can't thank you enough for standing by us and believing in our vision. The future is looking bright, and we can't wait to see what it holds.
With love and gratitude,
The Sometimeatarian Team
