Nottingham Half Marathon 29th Sept 2024
I am raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust by running the Nottingham Half Marathon on 29th September 2024 as 1 in 360 males and 1 in 380 females aged between 15 to 24 are diagnosed with cancer, according to 2021 Government figures.
On average, this equates to 10 young people being diagnosed with cancer every day.
The most common form of cancer within this age bracket is lymphoma - a diagnosis which has been felt by someone very close to me at the start of their life.
I will be raising money to fund the Teenage Cancer Trust to support those young people who are going through this difficult period.
Spending many long days and nights in hospital - with many "unknowns" must be as daunting as it comes - but with money raised I intend to fund some of life's basics that each of us may take for granted in the comfort of our own home.
£500 may support the purchase of a games console, a new television, a day out with family for much needed respite or even as simple as a pizza delivery!
Every pound will count and thank you for supporting me in going the extra mile to support the Teenage Cancer Trust!
