The East Midlands has a great literary tradition.

That is why we, as a group of authors drawn from across the region, have organised a new Nottingham Book Festival - to reflect the wide range of creative talent in the six counties and celebrate the joy of literature with all those who love reading, writing and storytelling in all forms.

The festival will promote local unknown authors, offer advice to aspiring writers, and support awareness of two great local charities. Visitors can find new reads in our pop-up book shop featuring a wide range of genres, meet the authors or come to the talks, workshops and readings.

The aim is to make this an annual event, with our first festival to come on Saturday September 5, 2026, at the Broadway Cinema on 14-18 Broad Street in Nottingham.
