Not Quite Write @ Edinburgh Fringe
Donation protected
We are Low Hanging Fruit, a comedy group made up of Barney Rowe, Jordan Reed, Sybil Devlin, and regrettably, Tommy Jolowicz.
We are funny, promise.
This August, we are taking an original sketch show, 'Not Quite Write', to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016, our first performance outside of Oxford. We will be performing at 'TheSpace at Jury's Inn', a studio theatre just off Edinburgh's Royal Mile, from the 5th-20th August (excluding Sundays, thank the Lord).
Travelling with us will be Ellen Hodgetts and Katie Carlson, a one-of-a-kind sound and light team (SALT-y), with whom we have worked before. They will provide technical support for the show, keeping the laughing machine well-oiled.
Alongside our festival registration fee and marketing budget, we are looking to fund our travel and accomodation expenses for this trip which, for that time of year, are quite expensive. Any donations would be used for the cost of renting a place to live for our cast and crew, and actually getting to the festival.
The show may be in the summer, but we have to put down deposits for housing and book transport tickets as soon as possible: demand is incredibly high!
For reference, our costs break down as follows:
Accommodation: £1,700 (+£800)
Compulsory Fringe registration fee: £300
Marketing: £300
Travel: £200 (+£200)
It has been our aim to perform at Edinburgh ever since our first public sketch show in 2014, and you can help us achieve this. It will be an invaluable experience for all of us, will help us to get our name out there, and hopefully drum up some attention for our own brand of comedy™.
There has been no worthier cause since that time your dodgy mate from school, whom you hadn't seen in 8 years, bumped into you in the street and asked to borrow a tenner.
(All donations will recieve a public thank you on social media, and be included in our list of supporters. There are juicy rewards for higher donations!)
