Nothing From Something
We're making a movie! We're making a movie and we need your help!
"Nothing From Something" tells the story of Luke Murphy. He's in the midst of a messy divorce from his wife who cheated on him with his best friend, Eric. With nowhere else to go, goes to his estranged father's house to rebuild his life. In the midst of all of this, he bumps into an old friend from college, Pam, who seems to have it all going for her, but is also in the midst of a crisis. With the help of his sister-in-law, Jill, Luke hopes to rebuild his relationship with his father, brother and hopefully get his life back on track.
Where the money will go:
-Actors: Actors are people, too. Like most people, actors have responsibilities like bills, houses, the need for food, etc.
-Crew: Just like actors, and most adult humans, our crew people also have some fiscal responsibilities, so we'd really like to help them feed their families by paying them in American dollars.
-Locations: There are multiple locations involved in this shoot. Most of the locations are homes, but there are a few scenes set in restaurants, bars and other public places.
-SAG Contract: In order to get our actors, we have to apply for a SAG-AFTRA contract. This makes it so we can get professional actors involved in our movie and not just any random person off the street that thinks they can be in a movie.
-Food: People like to eat. People need to eat. A fed crew is a happy crew.
-Music: We have a very talented musician attached to the film named John McGee from the band Mr. Greengenes. He's writing an original score for the film along with some other very talented musicians.
All of these things cost money, so please give us yours.
We have some money that is already being utilized effectively in preproduction. The minimum amount of money we need is $5,000 to get this thing made.
Your support of the arts and artists in general is very important in the world we live in. We appreciate any help you can give to our project. Every little bit of money, support or encouragement helps. Thank you so much for visiting!
