Support Cork ARC Cancer Support House. Notes to Cork are going purple for Cork ARC.
Cork ARC do incredible work providing support to people with cancer and their families and they are a charity that are particularly close to our hearts here at Notes to Cork.
We are running this campaign to honour a very special person, my aunt Breda Dalton, who passed away from cancer in 2019. As some of you may know, Notes to Cork began as Poster Displays Ltd, an outdoor advertising company that my grandad Martin founded over 30 years ago. When Martin passed away, Breda took over the family business and she was at the helm for 14 years.
Breda was a business owner, a music teacher, a deep sea diver, a sea swimmer, an avid jazz fan and an adoptive mom to countless numbers of wild cats. She was full of life!
However, in the summer of 2018 she was diagnosed with a rare form of stomach cancer. Breda fought the cancer bravely but by March 2019 the cancer had become too volatile and in April she passed away. She was my family’s compass, our fearless leader and guiding light and we miss her more than words can describe.
Cork ARC were an invaluable support to our family and they have supported thousands of other families with similar struggles so we have decided to go purple for Cork ARC and we need your help!
In honour of Breda’s generous, warm and radiant energy, we want to cover every single one of our 200+ billboard sites in Purple posters, starting on April 16th to mark Breda’s anniversary.
Purple was Breda’s favourite colour and it is also the colour of Cork Arc. We would like to dedicate each one of the posters to somebody who’s been affected by cancer.
If you have lost a loved one to cancer, or if somebody you love has been affected by cancer, make a donation of €20 or more to Cork ARC here, and tell us their name or leave a short message* and we will dedicate a full billboard** to them.
We’re hoping to raise as much as possible so any size donation will be greatly accepted!
All of the proceeds will be going straight to Cork ARC so that they can continue their amazing work in supporting families affected by cancer.
