Elinore is at peace.

Donation protected
Elinore crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today approximately 3:30 p.m. She was surrounded by her humans who adore her. Thanks to Dr. Redding from Tri County for helping her transition so peacefully. Thanks to Murray Cohen for assisting in her burial. Most importantly, thanks to all who loved her, and supported Veronica and Elinore during this sad, difficult time.
This fund raiser will continue until Sept. 18th, at which time we will close it.

Elinore and Veronica update...
Elinore has a voracious appetite and is losing weight. Her bark is still strong and sometimes she will sing for us! She always greets us but quickly goes back to her bed. Veronica remains by her side and is giving her the very best care anyone could ask for. We haven't reached our goal yet, and again ask for you to "share" to get the word around a bit more.
For those of you seeing this for the first time, here is Elinore's story....

Hi everyone! I’m Elinore of The Hollywoods. I am 5 years old and live with the best Human I could have ever imagined! I have only been with her for 3 years, but we are BEST OF PALS (that’s what she calls me, her pal or her buddy). She makes me laugh because I make her laugh! She gives me the best belly rubs, and plenty of pats on the head, not to mention all the cookies!!! We walk to our neighbor’s house, and I run around in great big circles and they all laugh and cheer me on! My Human also lets me get on the couch with her in the evenings. We watch Jeopardy together. She’s really smart!!
Lately, I have not been feeling so well. I lost my appetite and have been breathing hard. My Human took me to the doc. He wasn’t sure exactly what was wrong with me, even after all kinds of tests and such… so he referred us to a specialist. Well, she ran way more tests on me and when I woke up I was sorta dizzy but felt a lot better because she took 1 liter of fluid out of my chest! My Human, Veronica Remy, was very, very sad when I was brought to her. I heard them talking and seems I have a fatal disease for dogs, something called Lymphoma, which is incurable. So, I am not going to be around much longer to keep my Human company, like maybe a month. I am really worried about her. I know how much she loves me, and I sure do love her. I feel her heart is breaking, and she is stressed because all these tests cost a whole bunch of money. I know I’ll be okay. After all, I’ll get to see all my basset predecessors, Basie, Howard, Bella, and Rapunzel, my fav ‘cause I got to hang out with her! I’d like to ask you, friends, to help her through this tough time emotionally and, if you can, contribute some funds to help with the added expense of all the tests and procedures I had. My god Human, Susan, has set up a gofundme account to help. This won’t mend my Human’s hurting heart, but hopefully, it will ease her mind, and maybe allow her to spend more time at home with me for the next month or so.
Thanks, guys. I sure have had a great life and lots of great friends! Elinore.
