Not the Queen You Know

Donation protected
You know that thing that's been in the back of your mind, tickling your consciousness and making itself known to you in various ways until you just have to do it?
This is one of those things.

I've been a lover of Queen for a very long time. It's not a secret that I think Freddie Mercury is a vocal god and that their songs are phenomenal. The things he could do with his voice are nothing short of amazing.

Naturally, I've been singing their songs forever, and I've even been known to perform some of them at friends' weddings over the years. But this is different. This is for me. Something I want to share.

So I'm putting on a solo show, a one-woman-show if you will. To sing Queen songs to my heart's content, and hopefully your heart's content as well. Thursday, June 27, 7pm at Don't Tell Mama's, don't be late!

It's been a long time since I've done a show like this, and the last time was not on this side of the world. In fact, this is going to be my U.S. premiere (aaaaaahhhhhhhh!)

I've joined forces with Yaniv Taubenhouse as collaborator and music director and we're bringing on a bassist and percussionist as well. You've never heard Queen like this before. That's the whole point.

Here is where I ask you for your help. Due to the nature of this project of mine, it's entirely self-funded and produced, which is where you come in.

It's important for me to pay my colleagues competitive rates, and of course, I need to take care of the rest of the details that go into putting on a show. Your donations will go towards covering the costs of my musical director, band, renting the space at Don't Tell Mama, videography and stills photography, promotion, and other sundry little necessities that have to do with this show.

I will be forever grateful.

And now, the perks!

You didn't think I wouldn't give you anything in return, did you?
(These perks are connected to things I love. You might find a familiar theme here.)

Any donation will be greatly appreciated, but if you give within these brackets, this is what you get:

$15 - one ticket and a virtual hi-five (no, really, watch your FB account.)

$30 - two tickets and a virtual hi-five.

$50 - two tickets, a virtual hi-five and personally made guacamole if you’re local or if I’m visiting your area.

$100 - two tickets, a virtual hi-five and my avocado salad if you’re local or I’m visiting.

$250 - two tickets, a virtual hi-five, a download link to the show, and challenge me to make something using avocado. It's my favorite.

$500 - two tickets, a virtual hi-five, a download link to the show, a personal shoutout from the stage, and breakfast made by me (I promise there will be avocado in it.)

$1000 or more - this is a really big one. If you choose to put this much trust in me, I will cater a show for you in your home or a venue of your choice. Whatever you want! I might even be persuaded to dress like an avocado, just for you!
You also get the two tickets, virtual hi-five, download link, and a personal shoutout from the stage.

Please feel free to share this campaign and invite loads of people to see the show!
I can't wait!
