Not giving up: Ignacio’s road to recovery

Help a struggling father, hard worker, & family man recover.

Ignacio Jr. Betancourt, 55, suffered a stroke on 9/7/2020. He was discharged from the hospital on 9/15/2020, since then every day life for him has become very difficult. From getting up in the morning, to completing day to day tasks, even the smallest things requires help from his children, friends & family alike.

The stroke caused permanent brain damage to the right hemisphere; it strongly affected & reduced his cognitive functions.. motor skills, attention span, mild speech impairment & mild facial droop. In the beginning it rendered him near incapacitated & he has given his all to be able to become whole again. Although that may never come to be, Ignacio has never been one to give up, or give in to the pressure this has put on him. Unfortunately, there are many obstacles for Ignacio & his family to face.

Ignacio is the co-founder of Enco Pest Control, a small business located in Yuba City, CA. Him & his brother have been running the business for 20+ years, specializing in Construction & Pest Control. Their business operates out of the Yolo, Butte, Sutter, Nevada, & Sacramento county & have been able to achieve many remarkable things. Ignacio’s children have taken the helm to manage their father’s end of the company; from the overwhelming amount of work at job sites to financial hardships the family faces due to the temporary loss of it’s co-founder. With the medical bills included, one can say the situation we’ve been put in is financial uncertainty until Ignacio can relearn how to do just about everything again.

Those who know Ignacio would describe him as one of the hardest working men on the planet; one to give his all day in & day out, never resting until the job is complete. One of true compassion & intellect, with a heart of gold to friends & family alike.

The situation at hand has made every day life a burden for Ignacio & his children, which is why we’re here now. Donations & raising awareness are both appreciated wholeheartedly. Anything you can do helps.
