Not giving up, help Jan Norton fight for life.

Hi everybody, I wanted to give you guys the latest update on Jan. As you know, about a year and a half ago, Jan was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. And then four months ago, the doctors at UT Southwestern told her that the mass in her abdomen had grown and that her cancer had spread into her lymph glands and basically, everywhere. She was told chemo would maybe give her two years but the quality of life would be quite awful. It was a crushing blow, but Jan immediately decided to not give up! She looked for other ways to keep fighting. She found a doctor who would help her to combat the cancer with alternative treatments.
Two months ago, a miracle happened and for the first time, the cancer markers started to go down. It was not a lot, but it was something. Last month, they went down again. And once again it was marginal, but this meant it could be a trend. It meant the alternative treatments were at least helping.
Jan is not out of the woods yet, by any means. She has a long, long way to go, but this is the first positive news since this horrible disease was discovered. And by the grace of God, Jan is doing better, she is still extremely weak but she is trying to have a positive attitude. When you talk to her on the phone, she remains upbeat, although she is struggling, she stays optimistic and continues to fight with everything she has.
The plan is to continue with the current treatments, the challenge is that her insurance does not cover all the costs. The expenses just continue to mount. You guys were so wonderful and rallied to help Jan a year and a half ago, and truthfully, your help, plus the prayers and good thoughts, is what has made it possible for her to get this far. Unfortunately, the medical bills and expenses have depleted all resources. Not only is this a mammoth health battle, but it is also an enormous financial one. So, here we are again, humbly reaching out for your help once more. The doctor believes the cancer markers going down is a great sign. And Jan has the determination and will to make it happen. And of course, we have our faith, all we need is you guys. Anything that you can contribute will be deeply appreciated. Every little bit helps. We know that these are difficult times for everyone, so please don't worry if you can't give. But if you can, please join Jan as she fights for her life. Always keep the prayers and good thoughts coming, they are the substance that makes it all work. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will be forever grateful, love you all!
