My name is Nicole, I’m a 52-year-old mom and grandma. I was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer on September 14th. I was working full-time and had a side business cleaning houses. I was relieved from my full-time job on August 26, for a misunderstanding over a doctor's appointment. So I’ve had no income in a month now, but that’s not stopping the bills though. Any help right now would be greatly appreciated for groceries, help with rent, and gas to and from doctor's appointments. I’ve been in the hospital more this month than at home. My husband draws a total of $35.80 a month in SSI. Nobody can live on that. I have applied and prayerfully will receive some kind of benefits as we move through this journey. Just right now we are in a bind and need a little help. I know there are people in worse shape than we are in, and I pray for them daily as well.
