We have had two unexpected new arrivals at the Nosara Wildlife Rescue Center. We now urgently need to build them a home.

In March, the Nature Conservation Authority (SINAC) confiscated these two emus from an illegal private collection and brought them to our rescue center. At some point in her life, one of the emus has lost an eye; otherwise, our veterinary team has given them a clean bill of health and they are adjusting to life at the rescue center. But now we need to create a suitable enclosure for them.

Their natural home would be the outback of Australia; however, due to their unknown origin, it is impossible to repatriate them.

The budget for the enclosure is $12k and we really want to get the enclosure finished before the rainy season.

Recientemente hemos recibido dos nuevas llegadas inesperadas en el Centro de Rescate Nosara. Ahora necesitamos urgentemente construirles un hogar.

En marzo, el Sistema Nacional de Áreas de Conservación (SINAC) confiscó dos emús debido al tráfico ilegal, y fueron entregados en nuestro centro de rescate.

En algún momento de su vida, uno de los emús perdió un ojo; por lo demás, nuestro equipo veterinario les ha dado el visto bueno y se están adaptando a la vida en el centro de rescate. Pero ahora necesitamos crear un recinto adecuado para ellos.

Su hogar natural sería en el interior de Australia; sin embargo, debido a que su origen es desconocido, es imposible repatriarlos.

El presupuesto para la construcción del recinto es de $12 000 dólares y es urgente terminar de construirlo antes de la temporada de lluvias.
