Hi, I'm Nhi, a 28 year old disabled woman. I recently became homeless and am couch surfing until I can get back on my feet. Due to my Gastroparesis, I am lucky if I am able to stomach 500 calories a day, but I've been sitting around 200-300 calories. This makes it incredibly hard to work or function. I at least have sent in necessary applications for cash and food benefits, while I also await an appt with my GI doctor in October.
But, while I wait for approval, I have another emergency. My precious dog - Nos, a 6.5 year old Maltese/Chihuahua mix unfortunately has two abscesses in his mouth. This is a very dangerous area to have an abscess because of how infection can easily spread to the brain or cause septic shock. He needs to have two teeth removed to be able to reach these to drain, remove, and treat. Leaving this untreated will be fatal.
This is a costly procedure, and I don't have much time to gather the funds. He is comfortable and okay right now, still energetic and the happy boy he is, but as time flies he will get sicker until he can't anymore.
I feel like I lost everything recently. I am in the process of also trying to sell whatever belongings I have to cover the costs. If I can even just get half of this fund I might be able to get the other half just from selling my things. I will also be contacting my vet in hopes I can get some of these costs lowered.
Any amount helps. Please help my boy because I genuinely don't know how I am going to live without him. He has been my emotional support for the last 6 years and I'm struggling to cope with the idea I may be losing him already. If we could just get him the surgery and care he needs he will be a happy healthy boy again with many more years to come. Thank you so much.
Love,
Nhi and Nos
