¿Nos ayudas a hacer un sueño realidad?

Hola, soy Laura Quintana, artista y socia fundadora de la Asociación Cultural Recrearte Cabo de Gata.

Quiero invitarte a formar parte de un sueño que llevo años pensando: crear una escuela inclusiva de arte y creatividad al aire libre, en plena naturaleza, con vistas al mar, en San José (Cabo de Gata). Me considero una persona feliz, amo mi vida, mi peculiar familia, dónde y cómo vivo, mi proceso creativo, mis proyectos. Quizá soy una soñadora, pues creo que tener éxito, es disfrutar de la vida...y si puedo hacerlo, ayudando por el camino a los demás, y aportando algo de valor a esta sociedad, mucho mejor.

Deseo crear una escuela-barco: un viejo barco reciclado y adaptado como espacio artístico de comunidad creativa, lleno de luz natural, abierto a vistas impresionantes, un lugar para animar al alma. Un lugar donde todas las personas puedan expresarse, especialmente quienes más lo necesitan: personas con diversidad funcional, personas de alta sensibilidad, autismo, o en procesos de recuperación emocional.

Doy clases desde hace muchos años y he visto con mis propios ojos cómo mis alumnos con autismo se transforman cuando crean en espacios abiertos, en contacto con la naturaleza. Por eso, este proyecto no es solo un sueño, es una necesidad real.

De un sueño, nació un deseo

el deseo de aportar valor a mi comunidad,

el deseo de cubrir una necesidad social, 

y una necesidad personal:

contribuir más con mi arte al mundo.

El deseo, sumado al entusiasmo 

dio vida a este proyecto.

Quiero que este espacio sea inclusivo, accesible, creativo y humano, donde el arte sea herramienta de expresión, encuentro y sanación. Un lugar para “re-crearnos”.

No existe nada así por aquí.. ¡de momento!

Tu apoyo económico —por pequeño que sea— es fundamental para dar ese último empujón y hacer realidad esta escuela-barco. Si conseguimos reunir los fondos, entre todas las personas que colaboren se donará una de mis obras originales. Hello, I’m Laura Quintana, artist and co-founder of the Recrearte Cabo de Gata Cultural Association.

I want to invite you to be part of a dream I’ve been developing in my mind for years: to create an inclusive outdoor school of art and creativity, surrounded by nature, with sea views, in San José (Cabo de Gata). I consider myself a happy person—I love my life, my unique family, where and how I live, my creative process, and my projects. Maybe I’m a dreamer, because I believe success means enjoying life… and if I can do that while helping others along the way and contributing something valuable to society, all the better.

I wish to create a school-ship: an old recycled boat transformed into an artistic space for a creative community, filled with natural light, open to breathtaking views—a place to uplift the soul. A place where everyone can express themselves, especially those who need it most: people with functional diversity, highly sensitive individuals, people with autism, or those undergoing emotional recovery.

I’ve been teaching for many years and I’ve seen with my own eyes how my students with autism transform when they create in open-air environments, in contact with nature. That’s why this project is not just a dream—it’s a real need.

From a dream, a desire was born: the desire to bring value to my community, the desire to address a social need, and a personal one: to contribute more to the world through my art. This desire, fueled by enthusiasm, gave life to this project.

I want this space to be inclusive, accessible, creative, and human—where art becomes a tool for expression, connection, and healing. A place to "re-create" ourselves.

There is nothing like this around here… yet!
