Hello everyone, and thank you so much for taking the time to read this. We’re Nicole McCafferty and Lydia Robinson, and together we’re taking on a skydive to raise money for the Northlands Addiction Treatment Centre in Derry/Londonderry.
For Nicole, addiction is something that changed her life forever. It took her dad the person she loved the most. Living in Derry/Londonderry, it feels like nearly every family we know has been touched by addiction in some way. Some people are fighting it right now. Some are grieving. Some are just trying their best to keep going. This fundraiser is for her dad, for his battles, and for every single person who has been affected by addiction. Because truly… Stuff addiction.
For Lydia, the impact of addiction is something she has witnessed in the people around her, friends hurting, families breaking, people carrying guilt they never should have had. She’s also faced her own mental health struggles and knows how dark and overwhelming life can feel. Supporting Northlands means supporting people at their lowest, and that’s something she cares deeply about.
We’re planning to do our skydive on the 14th of December 2025 a date that marks five years since Nicole’s dad passed away. Being able to honour him on that day means everything. It depends on reaching our fundraising goal, but we’re putting our hearts into making it happen.
Any donation at all, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. After covering the skydiving costs, every penny goes directly to Northlands, a charity that supports individuals and families affected by substance abuse, alcohol dependence, and gambling addiction across Northern Ireland.
Your support doesn’t just help strangers it helps real people in our community, people who are struggling right now, people who deserve help and hope.
Thank you for reading, for sharing, for donating, or simply for caring. It means more than you know. And please wish us luck because you’ll definitely see the skydive video afterwards, and there’s a good chance we’ll both be crying on the way down
