Born of the pandemic, Northeast Family Farm was conceptualized and strategically planned over the summer and launched in September of 2020. The urban farm was developed as a way to teach our children environmental stewardship while stepping up as community members to build a business that can serve our local community fresh, nutritious organic produce year round in MN. We are an organic urban farm that produces lettuces, herbs, edible flowers and other produce year round. We practice a zero waste business model and in all of our farming practices. We need your help and help from our community and friends to be able to achieve our goal of growing to give to our community. Our goal is to build fiscal stability to be able to grow to give to our local community through partnering with local food shelves, local school districts and other community stakeholders. We need to generate enough revenue to meet and sustain operational costs and home living expenses in order to be able to grow to give to meet the emergency food insecurities within our community. We have stepped up as community members with a business model that can achieve and sustain our business however, we need to build in a cushion to bring our farm to scale to meet the needs and current demand. With your financial help we can find and secure a space large enough to commercially grow food that makes an impact in the food insecurity here in our metro community. Funding is also needed for equipment to bring our farm to commercial scale including purchase of indoor vertical farm lighting, soil, grow trays and indoor growing equipment and to cover costs of farming utilities and business related expenses. We are currently searching for a commercial property within the metro to bring our urban farm business to the next level. Though the operational start-up costs are significant, we believe that with your help we can achieve long term fiscal stability to feed the community by generating revenue through private sales(CSA offerings), coops/grocery store accounts, farmers markets and restaurant accounts. We are confident with the communities financial help, we can scale up our farm business to begin offsetting the food crisis here in our metro community for years to come.Thank-you in advance for your time, consideration and financial contribution. We are so grateful for your support as every little bit counts to help our community members in need!
Kind Regards,
