'They found a growth on my pancreas' When those words came from my dad I felt like my whole world was about to fall apart, it was the last thing I ever expected him to say. This was the beginning of a very tough journey for him which has involved a few unexpected stays in ward 50 at the cancer centre. The care he received here from the nurses was second to none, we were very grateful to have this facility on our door step and not have to make the journey to Belfast when he was so poorly. And he was very very poorly.

Im running the Waterside Half Marathon on September 7th and have decided to do it to raise funds for the North West Cancer Centre at Altnagelvin Hospital, a cause that means so much to my family as not only my dad has been effected by cancer but also my uncle - another true warrior ❤️

We know how deeply a cancer diagnosis can affect a family, we’ve seen and experienced firsthand the emotional and physical toll it can take. I

That’s why im running for amazing centre.
