North Tipperary Mary’s Meals fundraiser 2025
North Tipperary “Mary’s Meals” Fundraiser – August 2025.
This August a group of passionate volunteers from Nth Tipperary are hosting three exciting fundraising events – all in support of Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals is a global organization setting up school feeding programs in the world’s poorest communities. Daily meals are provided in school for over 2.6 million children in Africa, Aisa, Latin America and Eastern Europe.
A donation of just €22 can feed a child in school for an entire school year. These meals which are lovingly prepared by mothers of the children in school, not only nourish children but also encourage school attendance, giving them education and hope to break the circle of poverty.
We are incredibly grateful to our three volunteers listed below, each going to extraordinary lengths to raise funds for this life-changing cause. Your support, big or small, will help transform a child’s future.
Thank you for helping us make a difference – one meal, one child at a time
Darren Dunne, a young man from Nenagh has been training for months to do a 22 km swim form Droomineer to Ballina on Saturday July 25th. Darren picked the distance of 22km to match the €22 it takes to feed a child in the developing world in a place of education for an academic year. Please support Darren raise enough funds to feed many children in a place of education. Education is the road out of poverty but its not possible for starving children to learn.
