Urgent Relief Needed for Navajo Families Impacted by Dragon Bravo Wildfire Smoke
July 26, 2025
Dear Friends and Supporters,
The Dragon Bravo Fire remains only 26% contained - continuing to threaten Navajo families in Bittersprings, Bodaway Gap, Coppermine, Lechee, and Marble Canyon with dangerous levels of smoke.
We need your help to provide:
- Hotel rooms for elders that do not have electricity in their homes and are unable to use fans and air purifiers to clean the smoke in their homes
- Air purifiers, fans, and masks for those able to remain in their homes
We've only been able to raise $340 for this response effort so far, which isn't enough to meet existing, urgent needs.
Please help us protect our communities from wildfire impacts.

North Rim Fire Navajo Relief Fund (the White Sage fire & Dragon Bravo fire)
As of July 15, 2025 firefighters are battling two wildfires: the White Sage fire, which had grown to more than 40,000 acres and the Dragon Bravo fire, reported to be 5,000 acres.
Families in the Bittersprings, Marble Canyon, and Bodaway Gap communities are being affected by the heavy smoke. Donated funds will be used immediately for masks, water, fans, air purifiers, humidifiers and air filter replacements.
Yee Ha’ólníi Doo DBA Navajo & Hopi Families COVID-19 Relief Fund, a 501c3 nonprofit with a proven record of delivering over $12 million dollars worth of direct relief to Navajo and Hopi people during the pandemic and beyond, are raising these funds to provide emergency relief to the families impacted by the two fires.
Your donation will support the families in harm’s way, some of whom were forced to relocate to a shelter at the Bodaway Gap. Yee Ha’ólníi Doo has the staff, vehicles, and track record to deploy resources immediately to those in need. We hope you will consider a donation today.
Any remaining funds when the danger has passed, will be invested in community-led programs in these impacted communities.
