North Notts College Charity Leg Wax for In Sam's Name
After meeting the parents of Sam "Sponge" Fisher, 23 of our male students and staff from North Notts College will be taking part in a charity leg wax to raise money for 'In Sam's Name'. One of our students will also be shaving his head for the cause. Our own beauty students will be completing these wax services.
In Sam's Name is a local charity who provide peer support groups to men aged 18+ in Nottinghamshire. The aim is break the stigma of talking about mental heath and prevent suicide within males. They have also recently started a local group for women to help support with mental health struggles.
The purpose of In Sam's Name is to help members find strength from others who are going through or have previously experienced mental health issues through the power of conversation, friendship and additional support.
We are hoping to raise funds for this lovely charity which can be used to help support their services and promote their values to the wider community.
Any donations made will be greatly appreciated.
