Who are we?

North East Cheshire Cricket Club was formed in 2019 after neighbouring Poynton Cricket Club and Disley Cricket Club voted to combine resources and solidify the cricket offering in their area and beyond. We offer a wide range of cricket across both locations with senior, junior and ladies cricket available to all ages and abilities at two excellent multi-sport grounds.

Why are we raising funds?

NECCC Juniors is an established and thriving junior cricket club in Poynton and Disley. We have approximately 200 players between the ages of 6 and 16 enjoying all levels of cricket and improving their skills through our winter nets programme, summer training on Friday evenings and 15 competitive league teams across the age groups.

The Junior section is the soul of our club, and we want to ensure all junior players feel comfortable and confident when taking part in the sport. Below are a few reasons why we have decided to move towards coloured kit:

Enhance team spirit and identity, allowing our juniors to feel proud and confident representing North East Cheshire Cricket Club.
Inspire young players to wear kit similar to their idols that they watch at stadiums or on TV.
Make cricket more accessible to all juniors by moving away from traditional white kit, and allowing more opportunity for mixed cricket to take place in an environment where all players feel comfortable to play.

Through this crowdfund, we aim to supply this new kit to our junior section without needing to fund this through higher membership fees. Our goal is to maintain accessibility for junior cricket keeping it as affordable as possible for parents.
