North Downs Way - Jack's 153 mile walk for Shelter
Hello!
My name is Jack O’Connor, and over the past three years I have walked several National Trails for charities close to my heart. This year, I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet: walking the historic North Downs Way. This beautiful 153-mile trail stretches from the market town of Farnham to the cliffs of Dover, crossing many diverse landscapes and following in the footsteps of medieval pilgrims along one of England’s oldest routes.
This August, my goal is to complete this trek in nine days to raise funds for Shelter, a UK charity advocating for the housing needs of the homeless. As we face an escalating housing crisis, the necessity for help and support, as more and more numbers are being forced onto the street, is more vital than ever. Shelter provides essential, round-the-clock care to anyone facing these severe hardships in their lives.
To do this walk in aid of Shelter will make the journey all the more meaningful, and I’m committed to doing my part and hopefully raising some money for a brilliant cause. If you feel like donating, your generosity would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your support!
