I am fairly new to running (or any form of exercise to be fair) and honestly never thought I’d ever run a 10k but here I am getting ready to run the North Coast 10k on 19th October. I originally didn’t want the pressure of having sponsors, but recently my local cat rescue, Filey cat rescue, has had some horrendous bad luck and there has been an outbreak of a highly infectious virus that there is no cure for. They have been taking many measures to keep the cats safe and stop any further outbreaks but obviously this costs money and as they have to be shut for 6 weeks there is very little coming in. Tina and the rest at Filey cat rescue are truly amazing, caring deeply for each cat in their care. They take in cats that no other rescues will as they believe every cat deserves a chance.
