With the unforseen death of Norm at the young age of 47, Shannon and T's lives are now suddenly and unexpectedly thrown into a turmoil of sadnesss and uncertainty. Norm was the kindred spirit and everlasting love of Shannon's and although he was not Tiauna's biological father his love for her went far deeper than that. He always said he picked T and she loved him for that. If there ever was a poster boy for the most understanding and patient father and husband Norms photo would have been right up there ten feet tall. He usually picked T up from school every day and most often they could be found together doing fun things. Shannons Facebook page is full of their families adventures. Tiauna is heart broken about his sudden death and as the days pass this seven year old is coming to the understanding that her dad will no longer play that huge role in her life that she had taken so much for granted. As we were talking about Norm shortly after his death Tiauna told how her dad was going to take her on his bus (Norm was a Vancouver city bus driver) and drive her around to see the city. She said "If my dad had lived he said he would drive me on his bus to see all the places I've never been to but I guess that wont happen now."
Many people have sent condolences to Shannon and T asking if there was anything they could do. With unexpected funeral and other expences as well as T's education this would be a great way to help.
