It's amazing how life can change in an instant. Just over a month ago I was traveling through Spain with my mother on what was one of her life long dreams. We toured Madrid, laughed, traveled 9hrs in crew rest bunks, and created unforgettable memories.

Today, I spend 14+ hour days with my mom in a hospital room trying to give her the support she needs to overcome the news that she has received. There really isn't a way to prepare yourself to hear that the person who single handedly raised you is entering one of the toughest battles of her life.

Next week my mother will undergo surgery in an attempt to overcome the tumor that has grown inside of her. The procedure involves removing part of the liver, stomach, pancreas, small intestine, gall bladder, and bile duct. It's safe to say that things will not be the same, but it's also safe to say that the battle is not over. Following surgery my mother will have to go through chemotherapy in hopes of a complete recovery, but as many of us know, this does not come at no cost. I'm asking for your donations to cover medical expenses and any other unexpected costs that we will incur throughout this process.

As I'm writing this, I'm thinking to myself "Mom probably wouldn't like that I'm asking for help" but that's only because she wouldn't want anyone to worry and because she’s a FIGHTER. She has maintained a great amount of hope and has held her spirits high & that is something that I would like for her to continue to have, so I ask you to please help us in joining the fight. My mother is still young, full of life and has so much more to live.

To be able to surprise her with the support of others in our community is something that will give her even more strength to push through. We would all be incredibly grateful for any support. 

I ask you to not only please keep my mother in your prayers but please make sure that your loved ones know how much they mean to you not only in times of need, but everyday.
