Norma's Recovery and New Beginning

Donation protected
My sweet mawmaw Norma is turning 87 in March! Her house caught fire on February 19th at roughly 8:30pm. She was alone in her home with her 3 cats, Ollie, Tiger, and Two Kitty. The fire spread rapidly and was immediately uncontrollable. Nearly everything in the house burned, leaving only a few salvageable items that were still heavily smoke damaged. Two of the cats were not able to get out on their own or be rescued by the firefighters. My grandmother is left with nothing but the clothes on her back. She was fortunate to recognize that she needed to leave the house for her own safety, and she made it out safely. We are thankful that she is alive and well, but everything she worked for her whole life has been destroyed. She is diabetic and needs medicine. She has blood pressure regulation issues and needs medicine. She is currently living with my mother in her home that is one bedroom too small. We start this fundraiser in attempt to give her the freedom and relaxation she has earned. We want to raise a few thousand dollars to help with the costs of clothing, medication, veterinary checks and medication for her surviving cat Ollie, and possibly to help with the process of rebuilding her home. We are so grateful that Ms. Norma is still with us, but we are absolutely overwhelmed with grief over the loss of her home and her feline companions. Nobody should ever have to worry about losing their home in this manner. We will be so thankful for any amount of funds we can raise to help our grandmother with her expenses while she is displaced from her home and her church family.
