Hi, my name is Jalyn and I am fundraising for Norman’s Cancer journey. On Wednesday, April 29, Norman was diagnosed with Soft Tissue Sarcoma. Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) in dogs are a group of malignant tumors arising from connective, muscular, or neural tissues, often appearing as firm lumps on the limbs, chest, or abdomen. They are locally invasive but generally slow-spreading. Norman requires surgery to remove the lump and test how aggressive the cancer is. The vet would like to operate on him as soon as Wednesday, May 6, but due to financial reasons, I have pushed the surgery back to Wednesday, May 13. The cost of Norman’s surgery is $2,600.00. Due to the suddenness of this diagnosis, and how fast the operation needs to be done, I am unable to accumulate this amount of money in time for his operation. Words can’t explain how grateful I am for any support I can receive. Now, let me tell you about my boy Norman! Norman just turned 4 years old on March 15! Norman LOVES chuck it balls, frisbees, and tugs! He loves to go on trails, swim, and play fetch! His favourite foods are sardines, sweet potato, cheese, and any raw meats/fish. Norman is loyal, protective, and beyond intelligent! He has certificates in Obedience, and Advanced Obedience. He’s the best, derpy, goofy boy and my best friend.
