Help Chief Norman Running Build a Ceremony House
Donation protected
Chief Norman Running has been holding traditional Lakota ceremonies for the people for over 35 years.
Please help Taté Topa Tiyospaye build a Luwampi House - a secure and beautiful space for us to set up our altar, store our equipment and host ceremonies. (more details below)
Chief Norman Running, George & Georgia Bertelstein and Tiyospaye (Family)
The organizers of this campaign, as well as many people in our community and all over the world, have received life-changing healing under the guidance of George Bertelstein, the spiritual leader of Medicine Path NAC in Berkeley. George's altar is connected to the Running Family through his teacher, Barrett Eagle Bear, who danced at Norman's Sundance for many years and called Norman her Brother. Eagle Bear also received her bundle & sacred pipe from Norman's father, Elmer Norbert Running.

On Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota and over the United States, Norman has been offering healing ceremonies including the Inipi, Luwampi, and the Sun Dance for anyone who needs the help.
Supporting this fundraiser means supporting the Chief, his family and all of the many native and non-native people he supports.
These funds will be used for:
Materials to build a 25X30ft Luwampi House (plans coming soon!)
This includes: drafting the plans for the construction, pouring a foundation, wood for the structure, windows, doors, plumbing, labor, etc.
We ask you to be generous as you consider how significant it is to support the Running Family.
Any extra funds will go directly to the Running Family on Rosebud for groceries, food, & immediate needs.
Was'te, Pilamaya.
Thank you,
Mitakuye Oyasin
