Amanda Boyer gave birth to a beautiful 10lb 7oz baby boy, Norman, at 7:45am December 10th, 2019. Before even being able to hold Norman, she began to have trouble breathing. Within the hour Amanda sadly passed away at the young age of 25 from an amniotic fluid embolism, leaving father Dustin Vogler to care for baby Norman on his own. Amniotic fluid embolisms are incredibly uncommon—only two to eight out of 100,000 women suffer this complication.
Amanda was a vibrant and compassionate woman, a loving daughter, and a loyal friend. She wanted nothing more than to be a mother to Norman alongside Dustin. Excited for his birth is an understatement. She impacted the lives of everyone around her. She was the type of person who always put others before herself. She loved to bake cookies for her friends and co-workers, care for her two cats Bella and Boo, and she was an incredible manager for Journeys, winning manager of the year 3 years running. She was truly a special person.
We are asking for financial support and education funds for Dustin and Norman to help them though this tragic loss.
