Norman Russell's MyDW

In 1969 the City of London Police Cadets won the team prize in the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race - 125 miles. Furthermore, with Lawrie Chadwick (RIP), I won the individual trophy for fastest crew. Now aged 70 it's time to have a last roll of the dice. The race itself has been cancelled due to Covid-19 so I am participating in 'MyDW': 125 miles kayaking anywhere within an 8 week period. I've completed 77 miles in three weeks so far. It's tough in the April cold and winds. I'm raising money for the CITY OF LONDON POLICE - CHARITY FOR CHILDREN and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this great little charity (I remain a Trustee).

UPDATE: I completed the 125 miles within five weeks  with an aggregated time of 28 hrs 56 mins. Kayaking sessions were usually between 10miles (2 hours) and 15 miles (3 hours) with numerous encounters with aggressive swans (females are on the nest this time of year). A very big thank you to all of you who have contributed, I and the charity really appreciate it.
