Hi everyone, I'm Norman's son, Alastair.

Brynmill Park was immensely special to my dad throughout his life, from taking me to see the monkeys and parakeets as a child to his years serving on the committee. He gave so much back to the community here—working tirelessly to set up Friends of Brynmill Park, securing National Lottery funding for the Discovery Centre, and championing local green spaces with Fields in Trust.

To honour his memory, we are raising funds to install a dedicated memorial bench with an engraved plaque in Brynmill Park. It will offer a peaceful sanctuary where family, friends, and locals can take a moment to sit, rest, and remember him.

Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards the bench and plaque. If you are able to donate or share this page with others who knew him, we would be deeply grateful.

Thank you for your kindness and support,

Alastair McCarley
