Recently, Norm Vezina of Pine Falls,
Recently, Norm Vezina of Pine Falls, Manitoba after 2.5 months has received the diagnosis of inoperable pancreatic cancer.

Norm went in for surgery  September 3. 2020 expecting to have his pancreas and spleen removed as lungs, liver and lymph nodes were clear.

He had full exploratory surgery. But nothing was removed and when he awoke the grim news was given to Norm and his wife Lyle Lynn that he has 1 year to live and 14 months with chemotherapy. THIS DEVASTATING NEWS CHANGED OUR ENTIRE FAMILY IN A BLINK OF AN EYE.

Norm has never smoke or drank in his life and this was something we were not ready for. Norm and our family have been blindsided.

We were all awaiting to hear him waking up from the surgery with the cancer removed, instead we were given very bleak news.

At this time due to CO- VID regulations only his wife  was allowed at the hospital and Norm being post operative, recovering with the heaviness of his prognosis. We are thankful his wife was able to be with him with limited hours, and wish we were able to have been with him.

Norm is one of the kindest, most altruistic people one can meet. He’s been a long standing volunteer and has invested in the community he is from. Starting and managing the Stones slo-pitch team , 4P slo-pitch and Old King hockey events and singing “O Canada” at local hockey games, dj’ing social events, and chairing the Powerview Métis Local.

He worked at the Pine Falls Paper Mill for over 20 years, and when the mill shut down Norm worked to become a truck driver for Don Sikora.

Norm is a father of 3, grandfather to 3 beautiful little girls and is the beloved husband of Lyle Lynn.

We are asking for your financial support as Norm will be  first meeting with the naturalpath for consultation and to recieve Vit C IV therapy, and will be seen by the Onocologist within the next 2 weeks.

We are fundraising to send Norm for radioisotopes therapy which is not offered in Manitoba. Until Norm meets with the Oncologist we dont know if the treatment will be in Canada or Germany ,but definitely will be out of province and besides the cost of the treatment will require  2 weeks self isolation wherever the consultation and treatment takes place. Norm will also be receiving chemotherapy , but that would be local.

Love to all and thank you for your prayers and donations at this time.Whatever you can donate will be very much appreciated and we are very greatful ❤
