Hi, my name is Liz and I’m raising funds for financial relief as my husband has gone through his 10th surgery and we’re waiting on the pathology report. His surgery was 2 weeks ago. He was first diagnosed in February 2022 for Squamous cell carcinoma in his mouth, jaw, and neck. His surgery was performed on June 2, 2022 and after months of radiation and chemo he received a clean bill of health. Due to complications from the cancer that developed later, he has had 10 surgeries since receiving his clean bill of health. We live in Whitecourt, Alberta and we stayed in our camping trailer at my brother’s acreage while he had surgery and underwent treatments.

This time around we don’t have the luxury of staying in our trailer for free. That option isn’t possible as they are selling their acreage.

We are financially in ruins due to not being able to work and we are both unwell, and now we may go through the battle yet again.

We have fallen on very hard times with not being financially capable of keeping up with surmounting bills, paying a mortgage. We have listed our house for sale and are still hoping for a quick sale but it’s a bad time of year to list a house. 

We are desperate seniors living on pensions and looking for any help we can get.
