My sister Noreen lost her life to Sarcoma Cancer in August 2025 at just 37 years of age.

Noreen battled for 22months but sadly lost her fight with cancer due to the lack of research and trials available for a rare cancer like Sarcoma.

In honour of Noreen and her love of the outdoors, two events are organised to raise vital funds for cancer research at Cork University Foundation.

From the 2nd to the 6th of September, The Rock Pedallers, Cashel Cycling Club with whom Noreen was a member will take on the Malin to Mizen Head Cycle challenge. Noreen adored cycling and this challenge was one she often spoke of doing but sadly never achieved during her short life.

The significance of The Rock Pedallers doing this means so much to us as Noreen's family and to all the members who are taking it on for Noreen.

They will achieve a total distance of 640km over the 4 days, all members have been training months for this event, we are eagerly awaiting their journey beginning.

On August 22nd we held the first of these two events in which over a 1000 people were estimated to have walked 5km in memory of Noreen.
