Dear sir/madam

My name is Ian Blowes, I am a veteran from the Royal Corp of Signals and served from 1996 to 2003. I helped start and run a veterans breakfast club on the east coast of Yorkshire which provides a hot meal, hot drinks and a place that other veterans can meet in a safe, secure environment. These veterans come from the outer lying villages around the town which helps stop their social isolation and improves their mental health.

The veterans breakfast club brings veterans, serving members and families together twice a month and at present we have about 65 veterans attending.

At the end of May 2026 I will be undertaking a 6000+ mile motorcycle road trip through at least 8 European countries including stopping at Auschwitz POW camp and Nordkapp which is inside the arctic circle. I am doing this trip solo to bring awareness of Withernsea Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club and the 500+ other clubs around the world in 15 different countries supporting at least 150000 Veterans and serving personal highlighting that veterans are not alone.

The money which has been donated will be given to breakfast clubs however I will have access to a small amount of the money for expenses and this will only be obtained with the permission of the treasurer who will have control of all finances and donations.
