Nordic Roots Trip

I’m traveling the world developing connections. I’ve found that people everywhere are trying to do the right thing but are despairing that they are alone. The truth is, we are never alone.

Help me continue my adventure. I'm raising money for my next big leg of my journey, my Nordic Roots Trip.

I'll be exploring Ireland, Norway, Finland and perhaps other countries to reconnect with my heritage and make connections with conscious people.

Rafael: "Hi John! I am a little confused, is this akin to a vacation? It seems like it is something more meaningful, but I want to understand exactly what you are needing the requested money for."

John: "Hey Rafi! Oh man, great question. The short answer is: No, this is not a vacation.

Your spidey sense is spot on, this trip is more meaningful. I see now that my Go Fund Me description has one too many rainbows and ponies. I do very intense things and I don't like to worry people so I tend to sugarcoat things (a bad habit I'm working on breaking)

This trip is gona be HARD and very directed. I always travel for a specific goal, I don't wander.

To give you a flavor, in two weekends I'm going to a 10 day fast retreat with Ray Manor. For what it is, this is super gentle and this man is all about safety...But this is kinda like saying, I'm climbing Mt Everest and I found the safest crew to do it with...its still Everest.

To get back more to your question, "what will I need the money for?", for the bare necessity of travel. Food, shelter, and plane tickets. I'm all geared up and can camp pretty much anywhere so shelter costs should be very low. I'll also be using couch surfing and I have some friends of friends out there.

Back to the purpose of the trip, i'm going over there to connect with specific people and communities. This is what I see myself doing for the next couple of years. I see many conscious communities and businesses developing all over the world. I'm helping to bring these groups and people in contact with each other.

Night John: John, what’s the big deal with connecting these different groups? Arn't they doing different things so why would they need connecting. And what groups are you talking about?

Valid question Night John. So it is difficult to succinctly describe who these groups are but I'll do my best. They are groups that are helping to bring about a much better world. Real solutions for a real messed up world.

Why connect these groups? Well, because they are still forming, they need help coalescing. AND many of these "groups" are just individual people who are looking for other people with a similar mission…aka the group hasn’t yet formed at all.

For example, one of my friends is rapidly expanding, discovering more about her mission and how she can help bring about a much better world. We talked for an evening and I was able to connect her with several sources of info that she desperately needed and a Vipassana community that she now wants to be involved with for the rest of her life.

This type of thing happens to me with great regularity. I am a synchronicity magnet and I want to harness this ability to bring people into contact with the resources they need.
