Norco Farming and Community Flood Appeal

The town of Lismore in Northern NSW, also home to Norco’s Head Office, has experienced a natural disaster never before seen in history. The township was inundated by floodwater; many have lost their homes and all their possessions. Businesses have been completely decimated, and many farmers have lost livestock.

Norco is one of the largest employers in the area and has been part of the fabric of this community for 126 years. There are simply no words that can capture our heartbreak, nor that of the community. At the latest count, at least 43 of our hard-working staff have sadly lost their homes and have nowhere to live, while many of our dairy farmers have lost their livelihoods with livestock, machinery, homes and dairies destroyed.

Funds raised through this GoFundMe page will go directly towards arranging accommodation and rebuilding homes for Norco staff and the rebuilding dairies for our Norco farmer members.  The dispersion of these funds will be audited by EY, and will go directly and promptly to the people that need it right now.

With the entire town in crisis mode, news reports also reflect the resilience of the people, the community and the human spirit. We have been overwhelmed with messages of support and offers of assistance. I want to take this opportunity to extend my thanks and gratitude for all your generosity.

We are wholly committed to rebuilding this wonderful community and doing everything we can to support our people through this difficult time.

We thank you for your support.
