Help Nora's Ark... A Labor of Love

Tax deductible
Dear Fellow Animal Lovers,

Nora’s Ark, Inc. is a local, independent, 501(c) (3), all-volunteer charity organization dedicated to the emergency and extended-care needs of sick, injured, or orphaned New York State wildlife; and the rescue and rehabilitation of neglected companion livestock. A primary focus is the rehabilitation and release of white-tailed deer, especially fawns.

At Nora’s Ark, our rescue and rehabilitation efforts involve caring for the animals with the aim of providing each with a second chance. By professionally responding to the unique medical and emotional needs of each animal, we can enhance their chance to recover and achieve an acceptable quality of life.

Often, without human intervention, animals in debilitating situations will die or endure an unbearable quality of life. My experience as a licensed NYS wildlife rehabilitator combined with my background in veterinary practice management affords me the awareness to recognize when intervention is necessary for the survival of an animal.

At Nora’s Ark we know we have made a difference, not only to the animals in our care but also to our communities as a source of education and counsel. Our efforts are only limited by our resources. We are asking for your help and invite you to support our labor of love.

Nora's Ark is nestled on over 50 acres of our personally owned land. Additionally, we are surroundend by over 1000 acres of county foresty. It is a beautiful and safe rehabilitation/release site for the wildlife in our care but we desperately need your help. In addition to our ongoing day-to-day expenses, we are also out  growing  our animal facilities.

Our current outbuildings for the fawns and llamas need new floor joists and matting. The original fenced pens for the goats and yearling fawns have aged over time and use, and are in need of mending with  the replacement of broken posts and stronger fencing to keep the animals safe and secure from preditors.

Fencing and lumber will also be needed to build additional pens to allow us to properly house the growing number of animals we receive each year.
Access to electricity and water are essential, as are stone and fill for correcting drainage run off concerns as we expand into areas currently unused.  These projects require the donation or rental of heavy equipment...and of course time.

Nora's Ark has many generous and amazing friends and followers that have offered us their time and attention to help build all that we need this coming spring.  We are so grateful for their commitment and support.

As a public charity, Nora’s Ark receives no funding from state or federal agencies. We rely solely on donations from private individuals and businesses. All donations are tax deductible and 100 % of all proceeds’ go directly towards the veterinary care and maintenance of the animals and their habitats.

Please consider Nora’s Ark’s efforts and help us procure the  funds necessary to allow us to assist these animals. Your donation will further the good work being done at Nora's Ark.
