Hi, my name is Catherine, only child of Nora Yan. My mom is facing difficult challenge in her life and health. Early this year, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Renal Cell Carcinoma and underwent an operation in June for excision of tumor/ right kidney and removal of thrombus in her IVC. She is currently recovering from the operation in our home country Philippines however, chemo therapy is not applicable to her case and instead Immuno Therapy will be needed and very crucial for her wellbeing and full recovery. There is an urgency to start this treatment as soon as possible to remove the risk of progressing the cancer cells to other parts of her body and hopefully can extend her life expectancy.

However, due to financial constraints, and despite our family and friends collective efforts to raise funds, we are unable to bear the full costs of this treatment and cannot start. An alternative oral medicine was given to us which could also avoid risk of spreading the cancer cells. This treatment is cheaper compared to Immuno Therapy but still be needing 9 cycles  of treatment.
