This fund is intended to support an ongoing legacy for our daughter Nora Jane in the hopes that she continues to touch as many people in spirit as she did in life. How and where these funds will be donated are yet to be determined but all will be donated in Nora's honor. The target amount is a reflection of Nora's birthday, 5/8/20. Nora Jane's Caring Bridge page can be viewed here: https://www.caringbridge.org/public/norastockinger
Below is a passage we wrote for her as we shared the news of her passing:
It is with the heaviest of hearts that Brian and I share the loss of our incredibly strong, resilient and beautiful daughter, Nora Jane on April 13th. To say that she was loved is an understatement. Anyone who met Nora, loved her with all of their hearts. Even those who never met her or our family loved her, and she touched people from all over the world.
Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces but there is some solace knowing that Nora’s legacy will forever live on through the stories of her strength and courage, as well as organ donation that may help 2-3 other children in need of heart valves.
Her short 11 months and 5 days on Earth were more impactful than multiple lifetimes. She is a perfect angel, completely innocent and shined a light on the world that was brighter than any seen before. To know her story is truly to know love and endurance and strength. She gave more to the people she impacted than we could ever hope to give back, yet in giving her our all she was blessed with immeasurable support. Her life was the definition of unconditional love. A love that will live forever, as will her spirit.
We cannot thank the staff at KU and CMH NICUs enough for loving our daughter as their own and giving her the best care possible. We are so grateful to have gained a family in both places that embraced us all and have supported us through this unimaginable tragedy.
Nora’s fight was long and difficult, filled with countless highs and lows, yet her life was so much more than that, bursting with indescribable beauty. She is now resting and at peace, and we will carry her with us forever until we hold her again.

Honor and light, our gracious gift from God.
You are our sunshine...
I’ll love you forever
I’ll like you for always
As long as I’m living
My baby you’ll be
