Nora Does Carnegie Hall!
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Eleanor Marlowe, but everyone calls me Nora. I am a 14-year-old living in Bend, Oregon where I am in 8th grade.
I am asking for your help to pursue my dream of playing my violin at Carnegie Hall.
I have known I wanted to play the violin since I was two-years-old and read a book about violins. I kept begging my mom to play and when I was four, she finally said yes and ordered me a tiny violin through the mail.
I started lessons right away and have been now been playing for more than 10 years. It is the love of my life.
Last year, I was selected for Oregon's All-State program. Because of that I was invited to audition for a special program in New York with three days of rehearsals before we play at CARNEGIE HALL!
I auditioned and was one of 170 accepted from around the world!
The program and travel costs are very expensive and I am hoping that my friends and family might be willing to help me raise enough money to afford this once in a lifetime chance.
I'll take lots of pictures and share them on my mom's Facebook page with a big thank you for each person who donates to this special trip.
Thank you so much for supporting my dream!
Nora
(Please know that GoFundMe requires an adult bank account to be used to collect funds. My mom has opened a savings account for me—that’s why it says she’s the beneficiary, but she will just hold all the money until I’ve raised enough to afford the trip!)
