My cat is one of MANY other innocent animals who have been mistreated by Aadobe Animal Hospital, Dr.Hussain and his staff of receptionists who get their hands on animals while being untrained, and unqualified.
A bit of my cat’s story: We took our healthy, energetic and sweet kitty Noodles there to get spayed in November. She came back from the surgery barely cleaned and covered in blood, they didn’t even have the humanity to clean her. Dr Hussain let us know that there had been a complication during surgery saying that they only found one ovary when trying to spay her and let us know it would be likely due to a birth defect so very low probability they missed it. He told us “she shouldn’t go into heat again but if she does bring her back and I’ll open her up and keep looking for the missing ovary”. At the moment of discharge we weren’t informed of any medication given to her for pain and told she will be back to normal the next day.
For 3 DAYS my cat struggled to move around, legs constantly shaking, hunched over clearly in pain. Of course since it was the weekend, these people were closed. 2 weeks later, our cat goes into heat. We call Aadobe and we are told to bring her in for blood work to check for hormonal levels and see if her ovary is still there. What we witnessed was DISGUSTING and raised more red flags about how she was treated. When Noodles was called in, one of the receptionists got up from the front desk and came to assist with the blood work. She grabbed our cat by the neck and pinned her down on the table roughly with two hands with no attempt to calm her down and make her feel safe. She didn’t even wrap a blanket around her. She drew blood from her with BARE hands no washing them, no gloves, wiping the needle and her blood with her super long stiletto acrylic nails. She looked like she had no idea or compassion to handle an animal. She FAILED at getting her blood so she took out the needle from my cat’s leg, wiped off her blood on her fur with her nails again and pressed down on the needle hole on her skin w her bare finger and then passed it to the vet for him to take the blood. My cat was clearly in pain and terrified of them so much she started hissing and if you know Noodles she is the sweetest cat at the vet. They told us the test takes about a week and they would call us as soon as they get the results.
A week passed and no phone call so we end up having to call them. They tell us the lab had issues and damaged the blood so we had to repeat this process a second time under the same conditions. We asked when they had gotten the report from the lab and they said “3 days ago” however if we didn’t call they wouldn’t have let us know. The second time we take her its the same poor practices they used the first time. We had to call them again a week later asking for updates since AGAIN they forgot to call and they tell us the blood was damaged AGAIN. That same day we failed to get results from her blood work my poor cat starts leaking discharge through her genitals and the vet that checked her found a horrible infection inside her. They weighed her and she lost half her body weight since the surgery and had 104 degree fever. She went from 6 kilograms to only 3. Aadobe is not giving us answers or accountability.
We have done further investigation trying to get to the bottom of this and we discovered that FIRST: they never weighed or performed any prior examination or blood work on our cat prior to the surgery, she was most likely MIS-DOSED and hence why she was in terrible pain after the surgery.
SECOND: The lab reports show that the blood was SEVERELY HEMOLYZED which means it was not properly drawn or properly handled after it was drawn by Aadobe so it went bad by the time it made it to testing. They attempted to keep bringing my cat in to poke her with needles because of them messing up while never taking accountability for it.
THIRD: we have been able to talk to William Caruso, a prior Vet Technician who worked here and also REPORTED this clinic to corporate and publicly. He kindly validated our concerns and explained everything that goes behind closed doors at the clinic which can explain why our cat is sick now. From extremely unsanitary conditions at the moment of surgery. Like the Doctor washing his hands in the bathroom sink with regular Dial soap, not wearing a gown and wearing his street clothes while performing surgery and not using sterile instruments, as well as concerning practices such as GUESSING the animals weight by eye and providing a medication dose based off that, very likely under or overdosing patients. As well as using OUTDATED AND CHEAP sedatives like telazol on cats which can cause blindness. We encourage people to reach out to William if they’re concerned about this Vet’s practices and we will attach a screenshot of a post he made himself.
Our Noodles is currently battling Stump Pyometra which is a severe infection because uterine tissue was left behind during the unsuccessful surgery. We have so far spent TWO THOUSAND dollars trying to diagnose her and we were just advised that she will need another surgery to correct their mess up which will cost us SEVEN THOUSAND dollars. We don’t trust Aadobe, they are unsafe, unprofessional and we are not bringing our cat back because we genuinely think they’ll end up killing her. Multiple people have complained talking about their cat’s jaw being broken after a teeth cleaning, another cat lost his eye after being treated here, and another cat we personally know has had unstoppable diarrhea since being treated by them in November. THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS
