Noodhulp voor aardbevingsslachtoffers in Myanmar

Beste vrienden,

Op 28 maart 2025 werd Myanmar getroffen door een zware aardbeving met een kracht van 7.7. Vooral in gebieden zoals Mandalay en Sagaing zijn veel gebouwen ingestort. Honderden mensen zijn gewond geraakt. Velen hebben geen huis meer en slapen buiten zonder dekens, eten of schoon drinkwater.

Als Myanmarezen die in Nederland wonen, zijn we diep geraakt. Veel van ons hebben familie of vrienden in de getroffen gebieden. We voelen ons machteloos, maar willen iets doen.

Daarom vragen we jullie hulp.

Met deze inzamelingsactie willen we geld ophalen voor directe hulp aan de mensen in Myanmar. Het geld wordt gebruikt voor:

- Medische hulp en medicijnen voor gewonden

- Eten, water en basisbehoeften voor gezinnen zonder huis

- Dekens en tijdelijke onderkomens voor daklozen

- Ondersteuning van lokale vrijwilligers die nu al helpen

We werken samen met betrouwbare contactpersonen in Myanmar. Zo zorgen we dat het geld op de juiste plek terechtkomt.

Elke bijdrage helpt. Al met een paar euro kun je een maaltijd geven aan een gezin of verband kopen voor een kind.

Emergency Relief for Earthquake Victims in Myanmar

Dear friends around the world,

On March 28, 2025, a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, leaving behind a trail of destruction, death, and heartbreak. Entire communities have been shattered—homes reduced to rubble, monasteries and schools collapsed, and lives lost. Cities like Mandalay and Sagaing have been hit the hardest, with hundreds injured and many more displaced, without access to food, clean water, medical help, or shelter.

As members of the Myanmar diaspora living in the Netherlands, we are heartbroken watching this tragedy unfold from afar. Many of us have families, friends, and memories rooted in the very places now struggling to survive. We may be far in distance, but our hearts are deeply connected to the people who are suffering.

We need your help.

This fundraiser is created to provide emergency support directly to the most affected communities in Myanmar. Funds will go toward:

Urgent medical supplies and treatment for the injured

Food, water, and essential goods for displaced families

Temporary shelters and blankets for those who lost their homes

Local volunteer support working on the ground in impacted regions

We are working closely with trusted local networks inside Myanmar to ensure every donation reaches the people who need it most, with transparency and urgency.
