On the night of August 11th, Cape Verde was severely affected by the Storm Erin.

This severe flooding caused enormous damage on the island of São Vicente.

Heavy rainfall and mudslides in recent days have largely paralyzed the islands.

Streets have been destroyed, houses have been flooded, and families have lost all their belongings. At least 9 people have died, 1,500 have been displaced, and approximately 3,000 others are affected.

The flooding has affected not only our people but also our horses and livestock. The horses are also in dire need of help after the flooding.

They have been swept away and submerged. As a result, our horses are without food.

Everything has been swept away by the water.

We need your help.

We want to provide vital aid as quickly as possible: clean drinking water, food, clothing, and medical care. Every contribution, large or small, will give hope to those in need.

This personal initiative started because I am a businessman in Cape Verde, São Vicente island and I could not sit and watch my island be paralyzed. Together with my family we began to give out food with funds given by our family and friends on the island. I realized I needed more help so we started this fundraiser for those who want to help all over the world. We aim to support families and animals in restoring basic needs.

The funds will be transferred to my account in Cape Verde where we will keep buying food, water and other supplies daily for the ones in need.

We will be posting pictures and videos updating all our donators of the work being done on site.
